Is being abnormal bad?

I conveniently divide the people in a society into 3 classes by wealth in which most of the people are in the middle class in a normal distribution. The normal people, being the majority, forms the middle class.

There is a small group of people who don't like to follow the majority and choose to be abnormal. If they do well, they fall into the upper class. If they don't, they fall into the lowest class.
